What a Create Pause Actually Looks Like Behind the Scenes
Hey Y’all Hey,
So… I think it’s time we had a little chat.
If you’ve been following along for a while, you may have noticed things got a little quiet around here. No new posts, no updates, just… silence. And honestly? I could sit here and apologize for the gap, but I’m not going to. Because I’ve been doing some real reflecting, and here’s what I’ve come to understand: the pause was part of the process.
Life Has Been Life-ing, And That’s Okay
The truth is, life showed up loudly this season. Between my full-time role, building out two brands, pursuing certifications, and just trying to be a full human being, something had to give. And for a little while, that something was the content.
But here’s what nobody really talks about: creative work doesn’t stop just because you stop publishing.
It keeps going in the background. In the way you approach problems differently. In the ideas that show up while you’re doing something completely unrelated. In the clarity that only comes when you give yourself permission to breathe.
The quiet season was where the material was being made.
What a Creative Pause Actually Does For You
I want to reframe the pause for anyone who needs to hear this right now.
It forces you to figure out what actually matters. When you step away, you find out quickly what still excites you and what you were doing out of obligation. The things that pull you back are your real anchors.
It gives you distance, and distance gives you clarity. You cannot see the full picture when your nose is pressed against the canvas. Sometimes you have to step back to see what you’re actually building.
It reminds you that you are not your output. You are the creator. Creators have seasons, and every season serves a purpose.
Coming Back With More to Say
Returning after a pause is not starting over. It’s returning with more experience, more intention, and more perspective than you had before. That’s not regression. That’s growth.
So if you’ve been staring at a blank draft, a neglected blog, or a project that’s been sitting on the back burner, hear me: you have not fallen behind. You have been in preparation.
This is me, coming back. And I’m coming back with a lot more to say.
Until Next Time, Bye!
