Trying the “Ultimate That Girl” Notion Template for the Rest of the Year
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that digital planning is my thing. GoodNotes has always been my go-to for structure and creativity, but lately, I’ve been feeling the urge to try something new. Notion.
Yes, I finally gave in to the aesthetic dashboards, toggles, and minimalist magic that is Notion. For the rest of the year, I’ll be testing out a Notion-based planner system to see how it holds up in my routine, especially alongside my iPad workflows.
I haven’t been posting much lately. Life has been “life-ing,” so I am focusing on realignment, reflection, and just taking it one day at a time. But as I ease back into creating, I wanted to do it from a place of intention, not pressure. This Notion template is part of that soft reset.
Why Notion?
What drew me in wasn’t just the hype (okay, maybe a little). It was the flexibility. I’ve been craving a system that lets me manage:
Projects and planning
Journaling and reflections
Business tasks for J Lorrain Studio
Content ideas and tracking
…and do it all in one place.
The Ultimate That Girl Notion Template from Etsy seemed like the perfect solution. It combines clean aesthetics with detailed functionality, something I’ve always aimed to reflect in my own digital planning life.
My Setup So Far
I will be using the exact template as it was delivered, the Ultimate That Girl Notion Template from this Etsy shop. The structure is solid and beautifully designed, but I’ve personalized it with a few tweaks to make it feel more aligned with my life, business and content goals. These minor tweaks will make a big difference, they turn a general template into a workspace that supports how I actually live and work.
Having it all in one space will ease the mental load, and I’m slowly falling in love with the way Notion lets me build at my own pace.
Will I Ditch My iPad Planner?
NOPE! There’s still something therapeutic about opening GoodNotes, grabbing my Apple Pencil, and planning with handwritten notes and digital stickers. That tactile side of planning still has my heart.
But Notion will hopefully help me keep my life and businesses organized in a very grown woman way. For now, I’m embracing a hybrid system — Notion for structure, GoodNotes for flow.
What’s Next?
I’ll be using this setup for the rest of 2025 to see what really sticks. I’ll be sharing:
What’s working
Where I’m making changes
And how I’m using it alongside my digital planner
This is all part of the pivot — showing up softer, more aligned, and with systems that support my actual life.
Starting this week, I will use the “Ultimate That Girl” Notion Template to my planning routine. If life has been life-ing for you too, maybe it’s time for a planning reset — something that feels good, not overwhelming.
