GoodNotes Update

Hey Y’all Hey,

I’ve been diving even deeper into it since Canva Create 2025, when I realized how powerful this tool is for blending creativity and productivity on my iPad. But just when I thought I had my system down, the latest updates rolled in and let me tell you, I’m in love all over again.

Whether you're a long-time planner or just now getting into digital notebooks, here’s why GoodNotes continues to earn a spot on my iPad’s dock.

What’s New in GoodNotes 6

1. The Infinite Canvas is a game changer.
Gone are the days of flipping to the next page mid-mindmap, brain dump or mood board. Now, I can brainstorm, brain dump, or create mood boards on a single scrollable canvas with no limits. It's like turning your iPad into a giant digital whiteboard.

2. The upgraded Text Document.
I love that I can now mix typed content with handwriting, stickers, and even embedded images, perfect for creating hybrid planning layouts or journaling my ideas with more personality.

3. Better handwriting + smarter AI tools.
The improved performance makes writing feel even more natural, and the AI-powered featured, like shape recognition and note summaries, have saved me time when I’m planning on the go.

4. Personalized Marketplace Recommendations.
Based on my planning style etc., GoodNotes now recommends new templates and digital stickers that actually match my vibe. It’s convenient… and I'm not mad at it.

5. Real-Time Collaboration.
I haven’t used this for team planning yet, but I’m definitely thinking about how to bring this into content collabs or creative sessions with friends and other digital planners.

How I Use It Daily

  • Daily planning & reflection

  • Brainstorming content ideas

  • Visual mapping for goals

  • Taking notes during online courses

  • Designing layout drafts before uploading to Canva

Final Thoughts

GoodNotes just keeps evolving in ways that make digital planning more intuitive, creative, and personalized. I truly love how it fits into my routine, but if there’s one thing still on my wishlist, it’s layer locking.

Sometimes I just want to keep my elements in place without accidentally moving them while writing or designing. Hopefully that’s coming in a future update!

Until next time, Bye!
